Job Description:
Disability Services of the Southwest/LifeSpan Home Health seeks an outstanding leader to serve as Administrator for our Temple, TX agency.As the Administrator you are responsible for the delivery of skilled and community based services to a diverse group of clients ranging from children with disabilities to the elderly.Primary Tasks
  • Effectively lead, develop, mentor, and manage program directors, support staff, and attendants with the highest level of professional and ethical standards to deliver superior service to clients and employees.
  • Implement and supervise overall development and administration of the Agency to meet or exceed applicable state and federal regulations. Assures compliance with HCSSA and CHAP licensure rules and/or regulations.
  • Coordinate and integrate total agency activities through regular communication with external and internal executive, management and clerical staff.
  • Develop and monitor the annual budget for assigned areas in conjunction with executives and staff.
  • Direct subordinate leaders in the performance of their duties to clients.
  • Direct and supervise the addition of skilled clinicians (direct or contract employees) into the Agency.
  • Responsible for all agency documentation of services. Ensure staff maintains accurate and timely records of services.
  • Ensure personnel are informed of changes in techniques, philosophies, goals, client's rights, and products relating to client's care.
  • Negotiate professional contracts with other service providers to ensure clients have access to all authorized services.
  • Serve as the Chairperson for all internal Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement meetings and Professional Advisory Committee to ensure superior service for clients.
  • Comply with federal, state, & company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Supervise the well-being of clients in the Licensed Home Health (LHH), Personal Attendant Services (PAS), and Licensed and Certified (L&C) categories of service.
Qualifications
  • Preferred currently licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
  • Require two (2) years of administrative supervisory experience in home health, public health, hospital administration, or other health-related field.
  • Preferred three (3) to five (5) years of home care management experience preferred.
  • Preferred three (3) years' experience or training with individuals with functional disabilities.
  • Must be willing to meet the requirements on the for an agency administrator per HCSSA rules and regulations for Home Care Agencies including Texas Administration Code Rule 99.2 and current hands-on CPR certification including the Heimlich Maneuver.
  • Prefer bilingual; able to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
  • Must be proficient in the use of database, spreadsheet software, computer applications such as MS Word and Excel and have the ability to readily learn agency specific software.
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license and auto liability insurance.
