Here are the minimum qualifications:
- While previous caregiver or related experience is preferred, we provide comprehensive training for all new caregivers.
- Have a caring, empathetic, and respectful attitude toward clients and their families.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, actively listening, and responding effectively.
- Display reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Have a valid/registered Home Care Aide (HCA) license, recent TB test, and CPR certification.
- Ideally, have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Be at least 18 years old.
Here are some examples of tasks you may undertake:
- Provide exceptional personal care services to elderly and disabled clients within the comfort of their own homes.
- Assist clients with their daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Ensure clients adhere to their care plans by reminding them to take medications, etc.
- Support with light housekeeping duties, preparing meals, and handling grocery shopping.
- Engage in meaningful conversations and offer companionship to clients.
- Offer transportation to medical appointments, errands, and social outings.
