DescriptionThis position is for PRN (as needed) or potentially Part-time hours, depending on applicant availability. Rotating weekends and holidays, as applicable to FTE. This position provides direct patient care to the patients of the Home Care department in accordance with departmental and hospital standards.Requirements
- Individual meets one of the following criteria:
- Certified Nurse Aide 75 hour course certificate preferred
- In the process or has completed the educational requirements, but is not licensed as an LPN or RN
- LPN or RN and can provide documentation of their licensure
- In the process or possesses a degree in social work, sociology, family and consumer science, education, or other health and human service field, and can provide documentation of their coursework
- Training and experience working with individuals in a similar healthcare setting
- BLS certification
- One year experience as a CNA preferred
- Valid Iowa driver's license, acceptable driving record, reliable vehicle, and proof of automobile liability insurance required
- Competency written test with skills checklist to be completed at the end of orientation, if not a CNA currently in good standing on the state registry
- Child and Dependent Adult Mandatory reporter training required
