The ideal candidate will have experience in non-skilled billing, specifically in the home care industry. As a Home Care Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing for our home care services. Responsibilities:
- - Review and verify the accuracy of billing data and invoices
- - Prepare and submit claims to Illinois Department on Aging, MCOs, DHS, and Private pay.
- - Follow up on unpaid claims and denials
- - Communicate with insurance companies regarding billing inquiries and issues
- - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing regulations and requirements
- - Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely billing processes
Requirements
- - High school diploma or equivalent; Billing Certificate
- - Experience in billing for Home Care (IDOA, CCP, DHS, MCO's).
- - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
