We are looking for caregivers interested in growing their skills within the senior care industry. Our Companion Caregivers are not only reliable, dependable, and honest, but also compassionate and caring.RESPONSIBILITIESProvide companionship and conversationAssist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, bathroom needs, and feedingPerform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and linen changingLaying out clothes and assisting with dressingPlanning and preparing mealsProviding medication remindersProviding transportation to and from appointmentsHelping family members learn safe care techniquesQUALIFICATIONSAbility to treat clients with dignity and respectAbility to interpret the client's provided plan of careAbility to be flexible and adapt to new situationsTolerance to small pets (i.e., dogs and/or cats)Must be able to be reached via phone or email for shift schedules, client updates, and/or emergenciesAble to lift a minimum of 25 lbsPrior experience with dementia patients and senior care, a plus!Ability to commute to Northern Chicago and Evanston, IL.
