Responsibilities:
- Assist with ambulation and transfers (cane, walker, wheelchair or lift device)
- Bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming support
- Preparing meals
- Medication reminders
- Run errands
- Light homemaking and laundry
- Continence and skin care
- Safety supervision and companionship
Requirements:
- High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate preferred
- Six months experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA) in health care (in private homes or facilities)
- Successful completion of a state approved Nurse Aide or Home Health Aide course
- Successful completion of a Competency Evaluation
- Demonstrate a sympathetic attitude toward the care of seniors, the sick, and those at end of life
- Ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
- Current CPR Certificate is recommended
- Eligible to work in the US
- Read, write, speak and understand English
- Have a valid driver's license and use of an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation
Work is completed in client homes in the towns of Waltham, Weston, Wellesley, Newton, Needham, Framingham, Natick, Sudbury, Wayland, and Marlborough.
