- Ambulation and transfer activities.
- Ostomy care.
- Assists clients with medical equipment, supplies, and devices as prescribed.
- Assists with self-administered medication.
- Simple skincare.
- Takes and record pulse, temperature, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Performs light housekeeping activities (tidying, shopping, laundry).
- Observes, reports, and records changes in the client's condition and environment.
- Adheres to accepted infection control practices.
- Assists with nutritional and fluid intake needs, including preparation of meals.
- Ensures client's rights and confidentiality are maintained.
- Bathing, change of bed linen, toileting, dressing, feeding, shampooing, shaving, mouth care, nail care, and prescribed skin care.

Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department approved HHA Training Program or Equivalency.
- Sixth (6) grade reading comprehension level.
- Writing and math skill level to the extent necessary for the successful and safe performance of required job functions.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Physical Requirements
- Full range of body motion, including handling and lifting adult clients.
- Standing and walking for extensive periods, as well as bending and climbing stairs.
- Commonly lifts, carries, and maneuvers items weighing more than 50 lbs.
