Examples of Duties
- Assists clients with maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment; travels to and from client homes; vacuums, sweeps, and mops floors; dusts furniture; changes bed linens; cleans kitchen and bathroom; launders clothing and bedding; empties trash cans; and performs other light housekeeping duties as assigned.
- May perform other duties if included on the plan of care; runs errands, assists with correspondence and similar tasks. Notifies supervisor or other staff of changes in client's status, condition, or environment.
- Completes various forms, correspondence, and other documentation for use in preparation of department reports and to communicate client's information.
- Communicates with supervisor, other County employees, clients, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems; and participates in staff meetings, in-service training, and continuing education activities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsEducation and Experience: Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Licenses or Certifications: Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license. Must possess and maintain the following certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (preferred), CPR, and First Aid. Special Requirements: None. - Knowledge of local government operations, Senior Services related programs, policies and plans, and modern office practices and procedures.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The work is light work which requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects. Requires mental acuity including the ability to make rational decisions through sound logic and deductive processes, the ability to express ideas by means of the spoken word and have close visual acuity.
