Description of the role
As a Caregiver at University Home Care, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional personal care services to our clients. Your primary responsibility is to assist individuals with their daily activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in your care, while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Help with mobility and transfers
- Medications reminders as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Accurately document and report any changes or concerns regarding clients' well-being
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and transfer clients, if required
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
