Job Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADL)
- Bathing
- Showering
- Eating
- Walking
- Toileting
- Transfers
- Hair Washing/Brushing
- Shaving
- Assist with Physical Therapy exercises
- Occupational Therapy
- Speech Therapy
- Light Housekeeping
- Light Cooking
- Enema
- Accompany to MD appointment(s)
- Scheduling transportation to and from appointments
- Keep calendar of appointments
- Taking temperature
- Order supplies, e.g. diapers, chux,
- Report any changes in condition to RN
- Fall precautions
- Check if medication box is filled (cannot administer medication)
- Contact 911 if true emergency, accompany until client gets to hospital, notify the emergency contact and Agency
- Clock in and out and complete duty sheet
Requirements: - Aides who pick up per diem shifts must work a minimum of 4 shifts per month
- NYS HHA Certification required
- Must be computer literate
- Completion of onboarding required prior to training
- Must be able to complete nursing notes within 24 hours of the shift being completed
- Must have malpractice insurance
