About the job Home Health Infusion Registered Nurse Pentec Health is hiring a home health infusion Registered Nurse in Rockford, IL. You will have the ability to create your own schedule to meet patients needs, while traveling within the area (possibly up to 200 miles). This is a full time, permanent position. In this role you will meet the needs of patients with implanted intrathecal drug delivery devices through comprehensive patient assessments, nursing interventions, pump refills, dose adjustments and patient education. Patient visits may be outside the home, in hospitals, clinics or other settings, thus a non remote role. Pentec Health Offers: Pentec Health provides a comprehensive compensation and full benefits package. The estimated full-time base annual salary is anywhere from $80,000- $85,000 Actual salary will be based on several factors such as qualifications and skills for the role plus geographic location. Essential Elements: Nursing care is reviewed and adapted accordingly to facilitate mutually agreed upon goals. Policies, procedures, and standards of care are guided by the nursing process and nurse practice standards through a shared governance model. All TDD Specialist Nurses will be provided the ANCC accredited Nurse Fellowship Program upon hire. Tailors education to meet each patient's/caregiver's healthcare literacy. Educates patients and caregivers on a healthy life style and promotes informed decisions. Promotes integrative care techniques to assist the patient with symptom management to improve quality of life. Completes all required documentation accurately and within the required timeframe, as well as communicate with members of the multidisciplinary team. Responsible for all elements of the nursing process including assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation for each patient. Collaborates with the prescribing Physician, patient and their caregivers as needed. Maintains patient records in compliance with state, HIPAA and TJC requirements. Actively participates in Shared Governance and integrates evidence based research into their practice accordingly. Skills, Competencies and Experience Required: Must have 3 years of RN experience and 24/7 accountability as needed. Demonstrate the skill and ability required for completion of Intrathecal Nurse Fellowship Orientation program. Strong written and verbal communication, customer service and organization skills. Ability to work independently and be a resourceful, proactive problem solver. Exhibits accurate critical thinking and ability to quickly assess and react to changes in patient conditions. Understands the criteria for standard versus urgent response. Ability to work in a remote home office and maintain productive, therapeutic boundaries. Demonstrates teamwork through the ability to work well and communicate effectively with members of the health care team. Must be CPR certified, or have the ability to be certified. Preferred: ICU/ER/OR and/or home care experience preferred. Solid understanding of chronic pain/rehab principles. BSN Education, Certifications, Trainings: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and the ability to become licensed in another state if needed. Equipment Required: Intermediate computer skills with programs such as Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Adobe PDF, Word, Excel, Power Point, TEAMs Knowledge of smart phones.
