A World-Renowned organization is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to support their Home Health team in Anaheim, CA. This is a 12 week contract opportunity with the possibility of extension, permanent emlpoyment and a Hybrid work schedule following training. Overview of Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurate verification of Home Health insurance benefits
- Obtaining Home Health Authorizations
- Maintain ongoing record of authorizations
- Talk with patients and patient family members about condition of referred patient
- Documents information into EMR and scans pertinent information under patient charts
- Interacts with clinicians
Must Have:
- 1 - 2 years of Insurance verification experience
- Authorizations experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer Service Skills
- Computer proficiency
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Length: 480 hours (approx. 12 weeks) Pay: $23-26 per hour depending on experience Benefits provided by Medix: In order to be eligible for health benefits, you must be employed for 30 days and must average 30 hours per week over your first four weeks on assignment. PTO/Sick Pay: You will receive one day of PTO (8 hours) after working 300 hours and an additional day of PTO for every 240 hours after. You can accrue up to 6 days PTO max. (Emeryville, San Francisco, Oakland, and Los Angeles accrue at 0.033 per hour rate with a max of 9 days PTO).
