RequirementsWhat you bring to the table:The Healthcare at Home Staff Specialist is responsible for seamless operations within Home Health by providing comprehensive administrative assistance and field support. This role is primarily responsible for facilitating caregiver coordination, maintaining schedules, and upholding quality care standards. This role contributes significantly to the efficient functioning of the Home Health team and the delivery of exceptional service to clients. - Proficiency with computers, including MS Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), Zoom and other common computer programs.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assists with Visits Scheduled Not Made (VSNM), including pulling daily reports, following up with caregivers, and documenting caregiver communications.
- Provides support to HH Schedulers with maintaining schedules and assisting with field staff to ensure coverage of client needs.
- Assist HH Schedulers with the payroll process, including managing administrative activity, performing daily data validation, running actual vs. scheduled visits, and making corrections/requests with time verification from field staff.
- Provide administrative assistance for any program documents and support of caregiver compliance and performance.
- Provide Home Healthcare Field support by performing PCA, PCW, and HMK visits which includes on-call visits.
- Professionally and timely documents all care provided to clients using the EMR on day of service. Charts arrival and departure times, travel times, and task codes. Notifies office staff immediately of any charting difficulties.
- Manages the on-call phone in accordance with the Scheduler on-call policy.
- Assist with caregiver onboarding by providing training to new hires on the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) process, setting up new caregivers in EMR, and being the primary point of contact when they meet new consumers and encounter technical issues.
- Provide caregiver support by offering extraordinary customer service, troubleshooting EMR or website issues, assisting with in-service completion, and maintaining an intentional open dialogue with caregivers.
- Assist with caregiver compliance with division standards such as proper documenting and time recording, ensuring quality care to consumers, and following up with caregivers on renewable items.
- Comply with applicable state and federal standards, The IC policies and procedures, and community and professional standards.
- Accept responsibility for personal and professional development.
- Maintain CPR certification.
- Complete 6 annual Continuing Education Units (CEU).
- Attend and participate in all required meetings.
- Participate in The IC's ongoing quality improvement activities.
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Some college education is desirable.
- Staff scheduling experience preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
- Two years as a Direct Care Worker preferred.
- Experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
Travel:
- Local travel to partners, collaborators, and vendors for official IC related business and events may be required.
- Up to 25% travel to clients' homes located in El Paso & potential surrounding Home Health covered counties.
- Must have a valid driver's license and car insurance.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment requiring ongoing computer use and extended amount of time sitting or standing.
- Occasional requirement to provide hands-on care in clients' homes as part of the HH on-call policies and procedures.
- Frequently lift, push, pull, up to 25 lbs., occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Internet access to work remotely if protocols are issued for remote work.
