Responsibilities:
Under the direction of a professional nurse, the Home Hospice Aide assists the patient in the home setting with personal care activities and incidental duties which the patient requires. The Home Hospice Aide demonstrates competent knowledge and skills to assure care is appropriate to patients served: pediatrics, teens, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
Essential Functions:
Grand View Health's Hospice department serves Bucks and Montgomery communities. Grand View Health Hospice strives for excellence by providing comfort to patients and their families in difficult times. The Hospice staff is expected to commute within a 30-minute radius of Grand View Hospital. Gas mileage will be reimbursed.
Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm or 7:00 am -3:30 pm
Qualifications:Education and Experience: High School Diploma/GED, required
Qualifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS), Within 2 weeks of hire, required.
Valid PA Drivers License and Auto Insurance, required.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
If not a certified CNA 2 years experience in hospital, extended care facility, home care or Hospice after completion of 75 hours of supervised practical training under a suitable approved setting. On-site training program available for interested applicants.
Nursing students completing one academic year inclusive of direct patient care, will be considered if certification requirements are fulfilled.
