Auxiliary - Position - Other Job Number 000####### Start Date Open Date Closing Date Attachments Home Visitation Support Technician (Part-time) The Home Visitation (HV) Support Technician will implement the Home Instruction of Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) model by maintaining a caseload of 15 families or more as required by grant. The HV Support Technician is required to participate in all HIPPY sponsored activities such as field trips, graduations, award ceremonies, professional development, and all other related activities to support the position and grant requirements. Responsibilities include executing the HIPPY curriculum with parents of preschoolers, role playing the curriculum and meeting with assigned families each week, participating in the planning and facilitation of group meetings, supplying an enrichment activity, participating in weekly in-service training and other staff development activities, and informing the HIPPY coordinator of child/family progress and related issues and concerns. Timely compliance with HIPPY USA grant, caseload, and other documentation is critical.This position is part-time, not to exceed 19 hours per week. It is a grant-funded position.Building/Campus Education Service Center, Region 2 Salary: From 13.47 Salary: To 19.39 Salary Type Hourly Additional Job Information --Preferred National Child Development Associate Certification (CDA) or Child Development Associates Degree --Fluent in the language(s) of families to be served by the program (Spanish-speaking) preferred --Valid Texas driver's license, proof of insurance and reliable transportation required --Strong oral and written communication skills --Excellent interpersonal skills --Good organizational skills and ability to be task-oriented --Ability to adhere to schedules and specific timetables --Demonstrate leadership potential --Demonstrate emotional maturity and cultural sensitivity to understand the needs and interests of the targeted community --Demonstrate best practices and serve in a role model capacity
