As a participating team member, you will provide therapy services to patients needing to develop, recover and maintain occupational skills. Our Occupational therapists help patients of all ages who have limited abilities establish, develop and/or maintain the ability to complete daily functions and tasks. Through regular therapy sessions, occupational therapists work one-on-one with patients, focusing on their individual needs to help them achieve improved quality of life and a sense of independence.Qualifications:Helps patient to develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skillsAids patients in improving their basic motor functions and reasoning abilitiesAssists patients in performing all types of activities such as dressing, cooking and eatingIncorporates physical exercises to increase patients' strength and dexterityInstructs patients with permanent disabilities in the use of adaptive equipment, such as wheelchairs and orthoticsDesigns or makes special equipment needed at home or workAssesses patients' home for hazards, recommends restorative or safety adaptationsProvides guidance to family members and caregivers in safe and effective methods of caring for individualsEvaluates patients' progress and prepares reports that detail progressPerforms other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment settingPosition RequirementsGraduate of an accredited OT programCurrent OT license, in good standing with the State licensing boardMinimum of one (1) year OT experience, in corresponding settingFederal and State required credentials current and on fileCognitive skills as related to the positionOther detailsPay Type HourlyMin Hiring Rate $80.00Max Hiring Rate $90.00Travel Required YesTravel % 100Apply NowBronx, NY, USABrooklyn, NY, USAManhattan, New York, NY, USAQueens, NY, USAStaten Island, NY, USA
