What You'll Do:
As a Homemaker/Companion, you will carry out our Mission of Love by shopping with or for residents, accompanying residents for appointments, pet care, laundry, medication reminders, light housekeeping, bath/shower safety and social visits.
Our Homemaker/Companion is responsible for the following:
- Provides quality companionship services to seniors in their homes with specific services as outlined in the service plan.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living i.e. bathing, hair care, nail care, mouth care, feeding, skin care, and toileting. Completes and documents all care as assigned accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in meal preparation and providing cueing for meals as indicated.
- Assists in keeping resident's living area neat to include light housekeeping chores and laundry as directed by the service plan.
- Transports resident to activities or appointments and run errands as directed by the service plan.
What You Have:
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred, but not essential
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
- Sincere interest in working with the elderly
- Satisfactorily completes orientation training
- Valid Pennsylvania Drivers License required
