What you will do:Hope Florida Is A Pathway To Prosperity, and in this rewarding position as a Hope Navigator Supervisor you will manage a team of Hope Navigators. Hope Navigators guide Floridians to prosperity by identifying goals and barriers, referring local, community-based partners, and give one on one support to develop a plan to achieve economic-self-sufficiency.
How you will make an impact: - This is a highly responsible position assigned to report directly to the Program Administrator and requires expertise in social services including extensive knowledge of Community Services and resources. Provides leadership and supervision to include compliance with program requirements/business model, and effective performance feedback.
- This is an advanced professional work supervising and directing employees. The primary duty of the incumbent in this position is to spend the majority of their time communicating with, motivating, training and evaluating employees, planning and directing their work; and having the authority to effectively recommend actions such as: hire, layoff, assign, and reward or discipline direct reports. Evaluates employees against established standards and takes appropriate actions when necessary (i.e. recognition, reward, corrective action, etc.).
- Supervision - Supervises all direct reports who are responsible for the delivery of services to departmental clients. Evaluates subordinates on performance and quality of service delivery to departmental clients. Provides positive reinforcement along with corrective actions as necessary.
- Identifies and maintains working knowledge of available community resources, in conjunction with the Community Development Administrators and Community Partner Liaisons.
- Communication - Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with Senior Management, program office, direct reports, peers, and community service partners and organizations in the service area. Ensures effective communication with the deaf and hard of hearing community (Department's customers and companions) in accordance with the ADA and or section 504; manage service records and reports data, resources, and or training needs to their designated program point of contact.
- Analysis and Monitoring - Recommends and initiates quality improvement strategies and quality control. Works with staff to identify error trends. Acts as a facilitator for quality improvement efforts. Analyzes data from all levels of monitoring including qualitative and quantitative data. Prepares reports and presentations. Monitors and evaluates operational outcomes. Assists with operational planning and service delivery.
- Develop and Coordinate - Develop and coordinate corrective action reports for effectiveness and timelines within program policy and procedure guidelines. These areas may include, but are not limited to, client surveys, quantitative statistics, community outreach, and provider liaison activities.
- Participates in national, state and local meetings, committees, community activities, outreach events and other team efforts as required.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent (4 years) of experience in Social Services,
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience supervising or leading a team of individuals,
- Minimum of one (1) year experience building relationships with community partners or resources, AND
- Minimum of one (1) year experience working in the Hope Florida program or case management
Additional Information/Requirements: - The normal work schedule is 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday
- Incumbents are expected to work during emergency situations or natural disasters and may be required to work before, during and beyond normal work hours/days.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis; basic management principles and practices. Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices; organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials; conduct fact-finding research; utilize problem-solving techniques; ability to use computer and software required; understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities; plan, organize and coordinate work assignments; communicate effectively; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
