Position SummaryPlans, develops and organizes the operation of the Medical Staff Office including credentialing, appointments and reappointments, minutes, rosters, call schedules, and assisting the South Arkansas Regional Hospital (SARH) President. We believe that everyone should have access to quality healthcare and the opportunity to thrive.Qualifications/ExperienceEducation: High school plus some college or business trainingExperience: Three to five years Executive secretarial experience with a minimum of one year experience in hospital medical secretarial background preferred, including proficiency in word processing.Other Skills:Must be a highly motivated self-starter who can work independently with strong organizational skills. Exercises judgment and discretion at all times. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Licenses/Certificate:NoneEssential Job FunctionsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following Essential Duties satisfactorily. Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the Essential Duties of the position, provided it does not create undue hardship on SARH.Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired regarding person, financial, medical or employment of patients, families, and employees of SARH.Must follow and enforce accepted safety practices for patients and SARH.Must report hazards and initiate appropriate action.Must participate in safety instructional programs.Serves as liaison and ambassador for the President or CNO; interacts in a professional, cordial manner with internal and external customers; exercises tact; assures confidentiality of information.Maintains accuracy of the Executive Leadership Team calendar. Coordinates travel arrangements for the President and the Executive team; verifies travel expense vouchers in timely manner for accuracy.Opens and routes incoming mail for President or CNO and the Executive team.Serves as resource to others in department/facility regarding conduct of essential functions.Maintains an organized, focused, and orderly environment.Sets up and maintains filing system for administration's files: legal, physician, contract and other items.Ensures essential supplies are readily available.Functions as receptionist to the executive offices of SARH.Implements and maintains the Administrative Policy and Procedure Manual electronically. Performs other duties fully and willingly as requested by President and the Executive Leadership Team.
