Job Description:
This individual assists directly or indirectly with patient treatments and other patient care activities under supervision of a Physical or Occupational Therapist, as well as carrying out non-patient care activities.Apply By Date September 26, 2024 by 11:59 p.m.Minimum Qualifications
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Certification or UC Davis Health CPR
  • Leadership experience.
  • Basic knowledge to support Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapies and Orthotics & Prosthetics.
  • Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with hospital staff in a clear, concise, professional manner. Skill in organizing written material.
  • Knowledge of appropriate information required for patient and supply record keeping.
  • Skills and ability to work in stressful situations.
  • Tact and diplomacy skills.
  • Ability to provide and accept guidance and criticism.
  • Knowledge and skill in the use of email, Excel, Word, and ability/ willingness to learn additional computer programs and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • 65% - Assists therapist with patient treatment and patient care activities for routine patients, as directed by a therapist from predetermined therapy treatment plan.
  • 10% - Serves as a Departmental Lead Hospital Assistant(s)

  • Must hear and speak well enough to communicate with patients and staff throughout the day.
  • Must possess the physical strength to assist with patient mobility.
  • Must possess sufficient mobility to traverse the distances required to serve patients throughout the institution.
