Day-to-Day: A community blood bank is looking for a Hospital Services Supervisor who will report to the Hospital Services Manager. This person will be responsible for communicating with vendors and clients (local hospitals) to ensure supply inventory is effectively maintained and conduct weekly reports. They will also be responsible for a staff of 5 shipping coordinators on the 1st shift and will make scheduling for 7 days a week. This person must be able to manage dispatchers and couriers, hospital blood-receiving staff, and hospital order correspondence. This person will spend about 30% of their time managing the 5 shipping coordinators and 70% doing inventory control and hospital correspondence. Pluses: - Blood Bank expereince- Experience using Blood Bank software - Blood Buy, BCA, and NDE (apart American Association) Online ordering system- Blood Hub is used for Hospital interface and billing. - Experience working with hospital ordering systems and hospital staffMust Haves:- High school diploma or GED- Experience making schedules and covering for call outs- Experience counting inventory, cutting orders, and conducting weekly inventory counts - Experienced managing a team of 5 or more with a servant leadership mentality- Must be a highly detailed person - FDA regulated lab and shipping procedures
