- Develop and lead execution of underwriting strategy for MedPro's industry-leading US hospital portfolio to achieve long-term profitability and growth.
- Design product offering, policy wording, and coverage terms & conditions aligned with underwriting appetite.
- Establish and maintain compliance with underwriting authorities, standards, and guidelines.
- Manage team of 30+ Underwriters and Associate Underwriters located across the country to ensure efficient service delivery with obsessive client focus.
- Nurture professional learning & development and career growth of team members.
- Coordinate delivery of actuarial, claims, risk, and sales support for hospital business.
- Represent company at client meetings, industry conferences, and other public settings.
- Report to both MedPro Group's Chief Underwriting Officer and the President of MedPro Specialty (Hospitals, Senior Care, Facilities, and Special Risks divisions).
We are looking for candidates with...
- Minimum of 10 years of HPL underwriting or other relevant experience.
- Extensive knowledge of HPL marketplace, including relationships with agents & brokers.
- Strong analytical, communication, decision-making, leadership, negotiation, and strategic-thinking skills.
- Ability to work from Fort Wayne, IN headquarters preferred, but willing to consider a remote arrangement.
- Willingness to travel.
