As a Hospitalist , you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to hospitalized patients during the night shift, with an emphasis on independent decision-making and procedural expertise. Your responsibilities include:Primary Responsibilities:+ Patient Care Management:+ Oversee and manage the care of hospitalized patients during the overnight shift.+ Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and provide comprehensive assessments and treatment.+ Coordinate with the daytime hospitalist team for smooth transitions of care.+ Procedures (Required):+ Perform essential inpatient procedures:+ Ensure adherence to safety protocols and evidence-based practices during all procedures.+ Critical Care Support:+ Provide coverage and management for ICU patients in collaboration with a dedicated ICU proceduralist (if applicable).+ Stabilize critically ill patients and coordinate advanced care as necessary.+ Collaboration and Communication:+ Work closely with nursing staff, APPs, and consultants to ensure high-quality patient care.+ Provide clear and effective handoffs to the daytime team, summarizing overnight events and patient progress.+ Documentation:+ Maintain thorough and accurate medical records using the EMR system (Meditech).+ Document all patient interactions, procedures, and care plans in a timely manner.+ Quality Improvement:+ Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.+ Stay updated with advancements in hospital medicine and procedural techniques.Required Skills and Attributes:+ Proficient in the use of electronic medical record technology+ Effective verbal and written communication skills+ Ability to direct the work of others.+ Effective conflict resolution skills+ Able to provide constructive feedback with an emphasis on developing the skills and competencies of others.+ + Ability to organize and establish day-to-day priorities while using critical thinking skills in all aspects of the job.+ Must be able to multitask while remaining professional, focused, composed and positive.+ Excellent customer service skills+ Displays integrity, friendliness, and compassion.+ Must be able to establish an appropriate and effective rapport with others.+ Demonstrates flexibility.+ Takes initiative.+ Able to work in a fast-paced environment.+ Embraces new opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.+ Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills.+ Proficient with various Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel).+ Strong organizational skills.+ Effective interpersonal skills.+ Ability to take and follow direction in a positive and appropriate manner.+ Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
