Position Description: Oswego Health is seeking a board certified/board eligible Physician to join the Oswego Health Hospitalist Program as Medical Director. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-years clinical experience in Hospitalist work, with the ability to provide leadership and direction with this established team of five (7) Hospitalist/Nocturnist Physicians and two (2) Nurse Practitioners, along with 24/7 ICU Telemedicine Services. This Hospitalist will split their time 85%/15 tween providing inpatient services and director responsibilities. Inpatient Hospitalist work will include providing diagnostic and assessment services, therapeutic services, preventative health care services, daily rounding, patient referrals (as required), and other duties assigned within the scope of the position. A successful Medical Director candidate will provide monitoring and input into overall department/service management, including strategic planning, continuous process improvement, financial review and new service development.
