Job Description: AM Host/Hostess or PM Host/Hostess This position is responsible for transporting patient RS carts to units, passing meals to patients following the approved method of service after confirming patient's identity, picking up soiled trays after meal service is over and assisting whatever else necessary in the RS operation. This position may function as an Expediter, placing cold items, condiments, desserts, silverware, and any other needed items on patient meal trays. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary working environment. This position functions as part of a team that ensures delivery of food to patients within 45 minutes of the order being placed. This position works positions on the patient service line as directed, that all hot & cold meals are correct as ordered, rotating into a one-person line. This position records patient meal intake on the individualized tray tickets for use in documentation in the patient's health management record. This position takes empty dish trucks to floors. Full dish trucks are returned to kitchen by protocol with this position scrapping return trays. This position must always maintain a friendly and cheerful demeanor while on duty. AM: This position works both breakfast and lunch meal periods and maintains adequate RS condiment and floor stock per protocol and ensures adequate stock for daily use at out-patient units (Endoscopy, Cardiac Rehab, Out-Pt Surgery), Emergency Department and ICU per protocol. PM: This position works the supper meal period and ensures adequate stock for overnight use is at nursing units per protocol Education/Credentials: Less than high school (must be able to read, write, make simple calculations and follow oral/written instructions) High School graduate or equivalent (GED) CPR Computer Self Study Module. Required: Henry County Food Handlers Card.
