- Greet incoming and departing guests at the Marina Cafe restaurant in a friendly manner with eye contact and escort them to assigned dining area
- Present them with menus and announce the name of their service staff member
- Inform guests of any current promotions or specials
- Answer any incoming telephone calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate help or service
- Manage the flow of guests into the dining room and cafe deck and provide accurate wait times when applicable
- Tend to guests needs and requests promptly and efficiently
- Be observant of guests' needs throughout dining experience to ensure that they receive high quality service
- Adhere to sanitation and safety protocols
- Help other dining room staff by setting and clearing tables, replenishing drinks, and serving food and or beverages when needed
- Handle Marina Cafe To Go orders by entering the orders into our Point of Sale system, providing guests with their bill for To Go orders, receiving payments (cash and credit card) for To Go orders
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Support team to reach common goals. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. Qualifications
- Must be 14 years of age or older
- Ability to work quickly and as a team in a fast-paced environment
- Must have reliable transportation
- Hands-on experience in cashier duties preferred
- Must be able to read menus
- Must be able to articulate clear greetings and farewells to guests, as well as be able to understand requests for assistance
- Must be able to clearly communicate with service staff, kitchen staff and supervisors
- Must be able to hear well in a loud environment in order to answer telephone and respond to guest requests
- Must be able to stand and walk during entire shift
- Must be able to reach, bend and stoop
- Must be able to carry trays or supplies up to 30 lbs
- A desire to help out where needed and to be part of a team
- Have excellent customer service skills
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
- Must be upbeat, outgoing and positive
All staff under 18 must have a worker's permit provided by your local school district.
