Job Summary: Hosts at the Gridiron Gastropub are the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. They are responsible for warmly welcoming guests, managing reservations, and efficiently coordinating seating arrangements to ensure smooth service flow. As key members of the front-of-house team, Hosts must maintain a friendly and professional demeanor, assist with guest inquiries, and handle any special requests with care. They play a critical role in ensuring guests feel valued from the moment they arrive until they leave. By working closely with servers and the management team, Hosts contribute to the overall efficiency and atmosphere of the restaurant, helping to create a memorable experience for every guest while upholding the restaurant's standards of excellence and hospitality. PART-TIME/HOURLY/NON-EXEMPT Requirements Required Knowledge, Skills, & Desired Qualifications: • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED. • Minimum of 1 year host experience, preferably in full-service environments. • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends & holidays as necessary) is required. • Must be a flexible and reliable team player, both within own department and entire organization. • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of performance, working quickly without compromising quality. • Must have the ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion regarding confidential matters while maintaining confidentiality. • Proven ability in Microsoft Office Suite and other Point of Sales Systems Physical Requirements for Position:
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- The ability to work in various Ohio weather conditions, inside and outside.
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain, steps, or in construction zones.
