Overview of Position: A Host coordinates the activities of dining room to provide fast and courteous service to our guests. They routinely interact with both staff and guests and they are also responsible for maintaining a clean and safe dining atmosphere.Job Qualifications:
- Must be comfortable interacting with both staff and guests in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Must be able to handle a stressful, noisy and crowded work environment.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and to remain standing for an entire work shift.
- Must be clean, neat and very organized.
- Must be self-motivated and willing to take the initiative.
- Must be familiar with fine dining standards, practices, banquet operations and methods of service.
Job Duties: The list below best represents many of the tasks you will be asked to perform at some time during your employment at Windham Mountain Club.
- Greet and welcome all guests upon arrival.
- Serve guests in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner and in accordance with standards of service as outlined in training.
- Complete familiarization of the menu.
- Check tables prior to opening to ensure that they are properly set.
- Keep work area clean and neat at all times.
- Direct wait and bus staff and assist them in any way possible.
- Maintain the front entrance area in a controlled, fair, pleasant manner.
- At all times be friendly, polite and courteous to guests.
- Maintain updated knowledge of WMC properties, programs, events, and daily snow reports.
Work Schedule and Conditions: We are in the business of providing a premier product and experience for our guests. Traditionally our busy periods are during weekends and holiday periods which you will be expected to work. You can also expect to be asked to work extra hours or days on occasion, especially during the holiday periods.
