Job Description: The Chicago Marriott O'Hare Hotel is looking for a Restaurant Host to join our awesome hotel team!
Overview: The Restaurant Host will be responsible for greeting guests in a positive manner, seating guests, ensuring sanitation/cleanliness in the restaurant while supporting the department and hotel needs to achieve the overall success of the operations.
Responsibilities: - Greet & Welcome guests in a positive manner
- Guide guests through the dining room and provide any assistance as needed
- Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings for guest or group needs
- Ensure table, chairs, menus, and place settings are clean and set to standards
- Maintain restaurant cleanliness and practice clean-as-you-go procedures
- Speak using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
- Display a positive attitude while being a team player
- Follow and ensure proper compliance with safety & sanitation procedures
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
- Perform other duties as requested by management
Qualifications: - Previous Restaurant Host experience a plus.
- Work duties may include exerting 25 pounds or more of force frequently or constantly by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects.
Availability: - Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
