Job Description:
Hostess / HostJob Title: Hostess / Host Reports To: General Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Summary: A hostess / host coordinates the guest's greeting, seating and thanks the guests of the restaurant. A hostess / host maintains the restaurant wait system. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Making sure that all menus are well wiped, are free of stains or spots and are complete.
  • Ensuring that entry doors are hygienic free from debris and welcoming.
  • Keeping an eye on the dining room, bathrooms, entryway, and ensuring that cleanliness is maintained in all operations.
  • Greeting guests politely and escorting them to their respective tables and ensuring that they are comfortable.
  • Making sure the guests are seated and well served.
  • Saying goodbye to guests and enquiring from them about the quality of services provided at the restaurant and thanks the guests for their business. This also involves checking with the guests to record any problem experienced.
  • Maintains the restaurant wait system.
  • Performs all side duties as assigned

Stamina to work up to 40 hours each week, more if needed. Be able to work open, mid, and close shifts as required.
