Baxter has grown to be the third largest brewery in Maine and in the top 15 breweries in New England. This role will be working out of the Pub at Baxter, a full-service restaurant located in a 3,600 sq. ft. area of the mill right next to the brewery. The Pub at Baxter Brewing Company has 24 beers on tap and a seasonally updated, varied menu filled both with classic pub food and gastropub fare.Job OverviewThe Pub at Baxter is seeking a Host who can deliver excellent customer service. The Host will work as part of a team to ensure guests are greeted and seated in a timely fashion. They will be the first point of contact with our guest, and as such, they should have a great attitude with a strong desire to provide world-class hospitality. The Host will also act as the support team for our bar and waitstaff. A strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team are key to success in this position.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare dining room for guest by setting tables and stocking all necessary supplies prior to the beginning of serviceGreet and seat guest in a timely fashion with a positive attitude.Maintain table settings by removing finished courses and replenishing utensils as necessaryRefilling water glassesSupports wait staff by assisting them with delivery of food and retrieval of any supplies they may requireMaintains a clean and sanitary bussing stationWork closely with restaurant management to immediately address all customer concerns and create a pleasant dining experience.Desired Minimum QualificationsMust be able to work on your feet all shiftExperience in a similar position is helpful but not required.Strong customer service skillsAbility to utilize a restaurant Point of Sale software platform a plusPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for duration of shift
