Responsibilities:
- Greets all guests upon arrival and bids farewell to all guests upon departure.
- Display a good telephone voice that is well understood and conveys a pleasant, caring, and polite attitude.
- Distributes to guests the menu, wine list, wine by the glass list, etc.
- Maintain knowledge of food and beverage product pricing structure and service standards, wine service standards, menu specials, restaurant hours of operations and special events, etc.
- Follows the specified format for reservation taking and confirmation.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel accommodations for the handicapped and be able to communicate to them.
- Assist in the set up and breakdown of food and/or beverage displays.
- Adheres to all life/safety procedures.
Qualifications
- 1 year of host or related restaurant experience preferred.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Developed English language skills (both written and orally) to communicate with other employees and guests.
- Open Table experience (preferred, not required)
- Walking or standing to a significant degree.
