OverviewSafely control and maintain all banding equipment and banders, marking robot, sample shear for the daily shifts production.Responsibilities* Safe operation of all Hot Mill area cranes* Scrap disposal using of mill cutting torches* Operation of Hot Strip Mill sample shears* Continuous observations and recording (written and electronic) of coil quality data.* Operation of both automatic and manual strapping equipment* Various utility functions assigned by area supervisorQualificationsSkills Required:* Strong safety awareness* Good communication skills (verbal, written, and electronic)* Self-motivated with the ability to work consistently without direct supervision* Works well with others and independently* Quality and detail oriented* Mechanically inclined* Willing to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime.* Ability to work routinely in a hot environment.* Repetitive stretching, reaching, lifting, and walking will be required to support routine responsibilities.Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers.
