About the role:
The Hotel Assistant Manager supports in directing and controlling the activities of the Front Office, Telephone, Guest Services, Guest Relations and Concierge Departments to create a special welcoming and memorable experience for our guests.
What you will do:
* Ensure the smooth registration and cashiering functions of the Front Office.
* Oversee a team of Assistant Managers and Front Office staff, ensuring accurate communication and follow-up on any problems, guest requests, and special requirements.
* Reviews daily arrivals, VIPs, special request, group needs, room assignments and coordinates with Housekeeping Department the needs of guests.
* Support in communicating with the Director of Revenue/Reservations Manager on room availability and selling strategy to maximize occupancy, revenue and rate.
* Handle any guests' issues or complaints in an understanding and hospitable manner, ensure they are resolved and followed through in the most appropriate and best manner
What you will bring:
* Bachelor's degree, preferably hospitality background or equivalent experience
* Previous luxury hospitality experience preferred; New York experience is preferred.
* 2-3 years of previous experience in similar role preferred
* You will have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills, good problem-solving ability
* Proficient in Hotel property management systems, in particular Opera and Micros Fidelio.
* Fluent in reading, writing and spoken English language skills. Multiple languages a plus.
* Strong supervisory and managerial skills are essential, with outstanding demonstrated coaching and development skills.

Schedule & Hours:
This role is a full time, on-site role. Must be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and evening/overnights if needed.
Compensation:
77,000 - 80,000 Annual Salary
