The Hotel Security Officer is very familiar with all property details and services to ensure that our guests' arrival, stay and departure experience is pleasant and issue-free. This team member responds to various incidents, emergencies, and conflicts, requiring a professional and hospitable approach. As such, we are seeking individuals with an outgoing, assertive and self-controlled personality.This is a part-time position working 16 - 24 hours a week, primarily nights and weekends.ResponsibilitiesPerform and enforce directives set forth by the Director of SecurityEffectively monitor and protect hotel assetsRespond to emergencies or critical incidents, following the emergency response planFollow proper patrol procedures and ensure proper documentation of property patrolsAssist with shipping and receiving proceduresUnderstand the hotel's cash handling procedures and report any procedure violations to the General Manager and Director of SecurityInvestigate all incidents following proper investigative procedures for loss of hotel assets and ensure compliance with policiesConduct special investigations and surveillance in areas such as internal and external theftEffectively monitor and control access to the propertyPatrol public areas to detect fires, unsafe conditions, security issues, and damaged or inoperative safety equipmentLog activities and events occurring on shiftBe responsible for the safety and security of the hotel guests, team members and propertyInspect and evaluate hotel security activities to ensure compliance with security policies and proceduresMaintain working relationships with local law enforcement agenciesPrepare evidence, file complaints, make court appearances, handle legal counsel coordination, and maintain and protect records and evidenceMonitor the hotel via security camerasEvaluate potential security threats to the hotel, personnel and guestsMaintain records or reports of all incidentsMaintain a safe and neat appearance at all timesStay current on hotel activities, hotel events and local events at all times and provide guests with information as requestedAssist sick and injured guests and colleagues, ensuring documentation and disposition of reportsCreate 100% guest satisfaction by providing the company experience through a job performance that demonstrates the standards of genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectationsGive personal attention, take personal responsibility and use teamwork when providing guest servicesListen, apologize with empathy, find a solution and follow through when resolving guest problemsPerform bag checksAssist with package handlingPerform age and identification validation/verification at times to ensure all guests consuming alcohol are 21 years of age or older (this may include the use of an identification verifying device)Who We AreRock Security offers 24/7 safety and security services and training to Rock Family of Companies team members, tenants and visitors.
