Job Summary: Responsible for the successful overall activities related to the Front Desk of the Hotel, smooth and efficient operations. Checks front office accounting records for accuracy and on a daily basis, summarizes andcompiles information for the hotel's financial record. Tracks room revenue, occupancy percentages and other front office operating statistics.Prepares a summary of cash, check and credit card activities to accurately reflect the hotel's financial performance for the day. Verifies all account entries made during the day, audits and balances postings, monitors and reports on coupons, discounts, complimentary rooms and other promotional programs. Posts room, food, beverage, tax and other charges to guest accounts including guest transactions not posted during the day by other staff.The Night Audit shift is scheduled to start at 11 pm and finish at 7 am.Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Understands principles of auditing, balancing and closing out accounts.
- Ability to work flexible hours, varied schedules and at times, a six-day work week; to work under stress and with patience and tolerance as a means to maintain sufficient operational coverage.
- Excellent customer service relations, communications, and interpersonal skills both written and verbal.Requirements:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, speak English clearly, bi-lingual ability a plus.
- Must be capable and/or quick learner of technology, software and various office equipment.License/Certification:Must qualify for a Class III Gaming License issued from the Port Gamble S'Klallam Gaming Commission. Pass drug screening at time of hire. #J-18808-Ljbffr
