We operate a busy hotel and are looking for a reliable and experienced Night Auditor. Night Auditor responsibilities include checking in guests, handling their requests and taking reservations. The purpose of the night auditor includes, but is not limited to, ensuring the accuracy of all financial information, and gathering all needed paperwork to complete the audit. This will include pulling all checked-out guests' registration cards and making sure guests are checked out in the system. The Night Auditor makes the first impression on our guests by extending a warm welcome and a friendly smile, and additionally provides information about the hotel and local area. Night Auditors are responsible for guest check-ins and check-outs. They work closely with all hotel departments, particularly our Sales team, Restaurant and Wedding planners. This position is part-time for Friday and Saturday overnight 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM** This position will undergo a pre-employment background and drug**Night Auditor Responsibilities

  • Greet guests upon arrival, check them in and provide them with any information they need to enjoy their stay.
  • Audit and balance reports from the day shifts.
  • Schedule guest wake-up calls and reservations for the following day.
  • Verify that all EOD work has been performed by other departments.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, concerns and complaints as needed.
  • Answer phones and place reservations.
  • Run EOD computer functions so they are complete by the end of the shift.
  • Prepare guest bills for next-day checkouts and process reservation cards.
  • Balance cash drawers and record receipts
  • Facilitate the deposit of guests' valuables in hotel safe.
  • Posts room charges and taxes to guest accounts.
  • Processes guest charges voucher and credit card vouchers.
  • Post charges to the guest accounts that have not been posted or were incurred on the night audit shift.
  • Transfer charges and deposits to master accounts.
  • Check to see that all charges are assigned to the appropriate departments.
  • To verify that all transactions performed at the front desk are supported by documentary evidence and signatures as necessary and that they have been correctly posted and allocated into PMS system.
  • To Verify that all charges posted from the POS Software, SPA software had reached the correct guest folios and not missing.
  • Prints up and files reservations for the next business day.
  • Verifies all account postings and balances.
  • Verifies that room rates are correct and posts those rates to guest accounts.
  • Monitors the status of coupons, discount, and other promotional programs.
  • Can function as a front desk agent especially in terms of check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Tracks room revenues, occupancy percentages, and other front office statistics.
  • Prepares a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities.
  • Summarizes results of operations for management.
  • Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy. Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information.
  • Prepare of End of day procedure.
  • Follow the End of Day / Night Audit Checklist
  • Must have complete knowledge of emergency procedures.
  • Performs wake-up calls.
  • Run end of day process in property management software (PMS).
  • Understand principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts.
  • Knows how to operate PMS, and other front office equipment's.
  • Respond to guest needs, special requests and complaints and alert the appropriate manager as needed.
  • Perform nightly balancing of in-room video and long-distance telephone services.
  • Understand and know how to perform check-in and check-out procedures.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of front desk experience.
  • Two years of previous experience as a Front Desk Agent.
  • Night Auditing experience (preferred)
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screen
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Possess a basic knowledge of excellent service standards as well as etiquette.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, dealing with many arrivals and departures within a short period of time.
  • Mandatory compliance with all safety regulations, procedures, policies, and rules.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Arrives punctually in full uniform with a neat & professional appearance at all times.
  • Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, carrying, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance and in excess of 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Must be able to multitask several different actions at once.
Salary Description $19.00 - $20.00 based on experience
