Job Description:
Hotel Operations Manager PositionThis position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel, particularly focusing on the Front Office and Housekeeping departments. This role includes managing staff, ensuring high standards of customer service, and optimizing operational efficiency to deliver an exceptional guest experience. RESPONSIBILITIESFront Office Management:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the front desk, including check-ins, check-outs, and guest services.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing and resolving complaints and special requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise front office staff to ensure they provide excellent customer service and adhere to hotel policies.
  • Implement and maintain front desk policies, procedures, and standards to enhance guest experiences.
Housekeeping Management:
  • Direct and manage the housekeeping department to ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest room presentation.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping staff to conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas.
  • Implement and enforce housekeeping policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Manage inventory and procurement of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities.
Staff Management:
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate team members in both the front office and housekeeping departments.
  • Schedule staff shifts and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational demands.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to motivate staff and promote teamwork.
Guest Experience:
  • Monitor and improve guest satisfaction scores through effective management and service delivery.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the guest experience and address areas for improvement.
  • Handle VIP guests and special requests with the highest level of professionalism and discretion.
Operational Efficiency:
  • Ensure efficient and effective use of resources to maximize profitability and minimize costs.
  • Analyze operational data and guest feedback to identify trends and make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and communication.
Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with all local regulations, health and safety standards, and hotel policies.
  • Conduct regular safety and security training for staff.
  • Maintain emergency preparedness and response plans.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hotel operations, with a focus on front office and/or housekeeping management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
