The Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel. This person must have exceptional communication skills as well as superior guest service abilities. This position is fast paced with constant customer interaction. Main Responsibilities Include:
- Provide the highest quality of service to the guest at all times and anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to guest complaints and needs.
- Respond to pages and radio calls immediately.
- Complete duties on the daily checklist/railroad schedule.
- Follow proper use of approved chemicals and accurately label chemical containers. Always use gloved and goggles when handling chemicals.
- Complete Chemical Training and Blood Borne Pathogens Training.
- Ensure security and confidentiality of all guest and hotel information and material.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel property, hotel staff, hotel services, hotel service hours of operation, and hotel surroundings (i.e. mall, restaurants).
- Work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: - A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to push and pull a moderate amount of weight.
- Preferred candidates will have refined verbal communication skills.
- Must have open availability 7 days a week.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to work afternoon/evening shifts with hours primarily being 3pm to 11:30pm with flexibility to work other start times such as 2pm or 4pm based on hotel business demands.
- Ideal candidate will be able to work both Public Areas Attendant and Guest Request Runner duties as needed.
