As a small private club, we pride ourselves on offering a tight-knit and personalized atmosphere for our members and their families. The club is family-owned and free from any boards or committees, allowing management to make effective and impactful changes.The Assistant Golf Professional staff has a lot of influence on the level of service the members receive. We are looking for an outgoing entry level Assistant Golf Professional who is able to work on our outside staff and service the members and be part of the team of inside Golf Professionals providing support in the Golf Shop, helping execute events, and involved in Junior Golf and Clinics. Experience Required
- A passion for the game and business of golf.
- Positive attitude with the ability to work independently as well as within the framework of a tight-knit team.
- Prior golf operation experience is preferred but not required.
- Credible golf game.
- Self-motivated.
Essential ResponsibilitiesGolf Shop Operations- Manage, assess, implement and track member satisfaction on the golf course with a focus on pace of play.- Interact with members and guests in a congenial and professional manner.- Maintain a pleasant and professional manner at all times with members as well as co-workers.- Schedule tee times and handle customer inquiries and/or complaints in accordance with operating policies and procedures.- Ensure procedures are followed to open, close and secure the Golf Shop and storage areas.- Monitor the performance of assigned staff including Golf Shop staff, Outside Staff, and Starters to ensure member service standards and productivity goals are achieved.- Ensure that the golf shop, storage areas, cart shed, and grounds are maintained per Club standards.- Manager on Duty in absence of Head Golf Professional.Merchandising- Maintain clean, presentable and fully stocked Golf Shop and merchandise displays.- Assist Merchandiser with physical inventory at month end in accordance with inventory procedures.Tournament Operations- Assist tournament administration, promotion, implementation, set-up and scoring of assigned events. - Coordinate with staffing team for Men's, Women's, Junior, and Major events.Outside Services Management- Assist with serving members needs before, during, and after their rounds of golf.- Driving range management.- Shuttle pickup - Assisting with the management of 45 electric golf carts, a range cart, and 2 shuttle carts: Cleaning, restocking, storing, and charging.- Work closely with a team of 3 other staff members.Benefits
