Overview
The ideal candidate is an experienced, high-energy and empowered individual who will proactively provide constant support to the Housekeeping team.
Responsibilities
* Cleans public areas, lounges, lobbies, bathrooms, and hallways
* Vacuum and wash carpets and rugs
* Empty wastepaper baskets and ashtrays
* Transport trash to waste disposal equipment
* Dust and polish wooden surfaces and furniture
* Replenish Housekeeping supplies in storage closets
* Responsible for maintaining the required property uniform and always ensuring a professional appearance and attitude
* Responsible for courteous, efficient response always
Skills
* Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised.
* Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
* Must be proactive in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving issues as necessary.
Qualifications
* 1 year experience working in a housekeeping environment
* Experience in a hotel is a plus. Must be flexible to work all shifts including overnights, weekends and holidays
* Exhibits a high level of professionalism in all interactions/situations.
* Always maintain a warm and friendly demeanor.
* Reliable and have a sense of urgency.
* Must be able to lift and carry upwards to 25 pounds.
* Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. on a regular basis.
* Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
* Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
* Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
* Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
* Comply with Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
The Pay rate for this position is $29.40 to $37.87 per hour subject to IWA increases.
