Personal Assistant/House Manager for Private Family in Philadelphia
A private family residing near Washington Square, Philadelphia, is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant/House Manager to enhance our household's efficiency.
This part-time role, approximately 25-30 hours per week at $30/hour (less taxes, no medical benefits), is perfect for someone looking for a flexible schedule. The position runs from Labor Day through Memorial Day, with unpaid summers offideal for those with children out of school during the summer months. Ideally we would like someone to be in the role for a few years.
Position Details:
- Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week (20 hours paid guaranteed even if not working)
- Pay: $30/hour (less taxes), no medical benefits
- Duration: Labor Day through Memorial Day, with unpaid summers off
- Location: Primarily on-site at the family residence near Washington Square, Philadelphia
- Benefits: A parking spot and car provided for running errands
Key Responsibilities:
- Light housekeeping: loading/unloading the dishwasher, laundry, general organization, and tidiness
- Running errands, including grocery shopping
- Meal preparation: from chopping to cooking (recipes provided)
- Handling computer-related tasks: reservations, booking flights, paying bills, ordering supplies, charitable giving, and projects
- Assisting with special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of personal assistant experience
- Excellent references
- Covid-19 vaccination
- Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a busy environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Resourceful, forward-thinking, and a self-starter
- Highly organized and efficient with time management
- Non-smoker
- Must be able to clear a criminal background check
