Title: House Manager- Full Time OnsiteDepartment: CounselingWork Week: 40 hours, Three days 8:30 am to 4:30 pm; Two days 12 pm to 8 pm, some weekends/overnight as needed.Status Non-ExemptReports to: Chief Operating OfficerJob Summary: Will provide trauma informed oversight of Emergency Shelter and Bridge Transitional Housing Programs for individuals and families. Responsible for adherence to program objectives, policies and procedures and the safety and cleanliness of the shelter at all times. Provides crisis intervention and support services to residents. Must be available to work flexible hours including weekends and overnights as required.Job Responsibilities:• Provides daily over-site in emergency shelter and Bridge transitional housing program.• Supervise hotline crisis counselors. Including evaluations, recruiting training and disciplinary actions.• Schedules staff to assure 24hr/7day weekly shelter coverage. Coordinate schedules and approve work schedules and timesheets.• Be available on call as scheduled via cell phone to respond to shelter emergencies.• Facilitate Resident House Meetings. Complete monthly fire drills, member of safety committee.• Oversee resident room checks, chores and health and safety guidelines including building cleanliness.• Ensures new residents receive and understand program requirements and guidelines.• Provide crisis intervention and support services to residents• Ensure the security and safety of all shelter residents and staff including issues that foster disagreement, harm to self or others, or criminal activity are addressed in a professional, appropriate, and timely manner• Foster an environment of accountability and continuous improvement throughout the shelter.• Ensure incident reports involving shelter residents are completed.• Facilitate a supportive, respectful, and trauma informed environment for all residents and staff.• Manages the shelter supply program through routine inventories, supply list and purchasing communications as appropriate.• Responsible for food bank reporting, ordering and compliance• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to domestic violence shelters• Notify the Chief Operating Officer of all gust concerns, workflow problems, and exceptions to policy that could impact program safety and security as appropriate.• Maintain strict confidentiality of all client identification and information. May disclose confidential information only with valid, informed consent from a client or party legally authorized to consent on behalf of client.• Recognizes and performs the duties of a mandated reporter as outlined in federal, state, and local regulations as appropriate.• Perform other tasks as assigned and required by program goals and objectives.REQUIRED TRAINING• Attend a minimum of 10 hours of training annually.• Assist with training other individuals in the Social Service Systems.TEAMWORK• Document program participant information in the database system daily.• Attends staff meetings, other required meetings, and in-service trainings.• Participates in all agency-wide events: 45-hour advocate training; October awareness; volunteer recognition; various celebrations; fairs, etc.• Assist with accomplishing agency-wide annual goals and objectives.• Assist with keeping the facility clean and neat.• Work collaboratively with social service agencies, hospitals, clinics, and other community resources to assist with external coordination of services for victim/survivors.• Any and all duties assigned by the COO and/or CEO SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS• Able to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.• Strong commitment to the mission and goals of DVCCC, professional work goals and personal development.• Through knowledge and understanding of issues confronted by victims of abuse.• Able to work with victims of domestic abuse and their children. Able to work with a diverse population.• Ability to show compassion and empathy while being firm, fair and consistent in in upholding he program guidelines.• Ability to speak to program participants and various audiences.• Ability to strategize issues related to domestic violence.• Ability to establish effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, and a variety of internal and external colleagues. Physical Requirements:• Able to move and lift supplies, furniture, etc. up to 40(forty) pounds. This position requires visual and auditory acuity and the physical ability to climb stairs, stand for long periods of time, and walk distances. Other Requirements• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.• Must have transportation to travel to meetings and trainings.• Must be willing to work flexible hours to meet program needs and grantor accountability requirements.• Adhere to all agency policies and procedures (attendance, work hours, paperwork, etc.)• Childcare, criminal and FBI clearances as required by the state and DVCCC. Environment and Conditions• The incumbent's typical place of work is an office environment and thus will not be substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. Minimum Training and Experience• Bachelor's degree in social services or related field• Three years of Program Management experience is required• One year's experience providing direct social service work to vulnerable populations including training staff.• Three years related experience• Or combined equivalent combination of education and experience
