** House Security Officer (Temporary)**
Business Unit: The Peninsula New York Location: New York The Security House Office works closely with the Security Team to enforce all security procedures and hotel policies to ensure the protection, comfort and safety of all guests, patrons, and employees.
**Key Accountabilities:**
* Protect The Peninsula property and the property of all guests, patrons, and employees.
* Serve as Deputy Fire Safety Director and be physically and mentally fit in the event of emergency situations.
* Articulate and represent The Peninsula brand, its guests and employees in a professional and positive manner.
* Provide pleasant, tactful, and extremely courteous service to all guests on a consistent basis.
* Constant patrolling of the hotel premises both exterior and interior.
* Monitor security cameras and ensure all areas of hotel is always in good standing.
* Fill out and follow up on incident reports as needed following proper security protocols.
**General Requirements:**
* Bachelors Degree or equivalent of 4 years experience in a previous security related role preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
* New York State Security Guard License and satisfy Security Guard Act training.
* Must possess valid certificate of fitness for Fire and Life Safety Director license.
* Safety, First Aid, AED and CPR training and certification is preferable.
* Able to meet physical and mental requirements of position such as prolonged standing.
