  • The House Supervisor is responsible for directing the overall operation and clinical practice within the Division of Patient Services during their assigned shift. The House Supervisor position requires that the individual use his/her independent judgment when determining staffing needs, addressing patient throughput, addressing personnel issues and concerns, responding to patient and family complaints, and addressing any other problems/issues that may arise during their shift. This position works closely with the Administrator/Nursing Director on call.
  • Communicate potentially significant issues on a timely basis in order to facilitate continuity of investigation and resolution. (via chain of command)
  • Serve as hospital administrator during tour of duty in order to assure consistent direction and leadership of organizational activities.
  • Works with patient placement to identify and place all patients, including direct admits and transfers.
  • Collaborate with other departments to prioritize and authorize all bed placements.
  • Conduct daily bed briefing meetings with clinical areas.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required Bachelor's Degree
  • Required Associates/RN Diploma
  • Preferred Master's Degree
  • 3 years Patient Care/Nursing Required - Critical Care or ER preferred.
  • 2 years Charge Nurse or demonstrated leadership skills Required
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board in applicable state
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
