Jackson Purchase Medical Center is a 107 all private bed, Joint Commission-accredited facility. From emergent to elective, our facility offers a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including those offered at the New Beginnings Birthing Center, the Advanced Healing Wound Care Center, and our accredited chest pain center.

The House Supervisor provides nursing leadership for the entire hospital as scheduled.
· Supervises and mentors nursing and support staff during assigned shift.
· Determines staffing level and assignments based on staff availability, staff abilities, census, patient acuity and work/patient flow.
· Provides direct patient care as needed.
· Floats between staff to assist with problem-solving.
· Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
· Responds to complaints about patient care and related services and manages through established channels.
· Performs role-specific duties as assigned, including entering orders, performing admissions or discharges, and coordinating transfers.
· Ensures staff has necessary equipment and supplies to provide safe, quality patient care.
· Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
· Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
· Maintains records, including staff time and attendance.
· Assists with monthly/quarterly quality control audits and projects.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
· Associate's degree Required
· Bachelor's degree Preferred
Certifications
· Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
· Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire
· Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire
Licenses
· Registered Nurse licensed to work in the State of Kentucky.*New Graduates may work under a KY provisional license for up to 6 months with the expectation that an RN license will be obtained within the first 6 months of employment.
