Job Description:Housekeeper - AfternoonsFull Time - 3p-1130pJob DescriptionThe Environmental Services Technician I is responsible for executing the daily duties required to establish and maintain a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment.Job Duties
- Performs duties while demonstrating working knowledge of the health care cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements, proper and safe chemical use, equipment handling, and labor-saving products for all items within the healthcare environment for which tasked with servicing.
- Follows all infection prevention practices (i.e., proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and process, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, as well as proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Reports any unsafe conditions and/or repairs needed in a timely manner, i.e., document EVS/Maintenance concerns such as stained ceiling tiles, paint, floor care, dispenser issues, etc.
Requirements
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills that promote and maintain a high level of customer service and courteous relationships with team members, patients, visitors, and others.
- Demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking skills while, at times, working in stressful conditions.
- Effectively use technology (computer, tablets, and other mobile devices) to complete assigned task and/or other functions as needed.
- High level of personal accountability and awareness around patient safety.
Preferred Requirements
- 1-2 years of Customer Service, 1-2 years of Hospitality, and 1-2 years of Environmental services experience.
