BASIC PURPOSE
The purpose of the Housekeeper is to assist in the upkeep and maintenance of camp and its buildings and to maintain all assigned housekeeping areas in a manner that presents a constant image of cleanliness, order, and a high standard of sanitation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Keep updated inventory of all supplies. Order additional cleaning supplies as needed
+ Check facilities to ensure Housekeeping Team cleans to the standard of Camp Del Oro
+ Manage relationship with Mission linen to ensure linens are ready for each guest group.
+ Prepare the guest facility for visiting staff or guests
+ Wash linens.
+ Make beds.
+ Put out towels.
+ Clean bathrooms.
+ Clean (dust, sweep, mop, vacuum) kitchen, living room and bedroom areas.
+ Sweep and clean front entry.
+ Empty trash cans inside and out.
+ Visit the guest housing each morning after breakfast to ask if anything is needed. (such as, trash emptied, bathrooms cleaned, new linens or towels, needed toilet paper or paper supplies.)
+ Empty trash outside the guest housing and meeting areas each day.
+ When the guests have vacated their rooms, clean the guest facility to be ready for the next use.
+ Keep the laundry room clean and free from clutter.
+ Report misuse of laundry facilities to the Camp Director.
+ Take garbage to garbage bins.
+ Maintain the cleanliness and order of the mop area, trash area, and washer/dryer room.
+ Assist with the clean-up of the total camp at the end of each session and at the conclusion of the summer.
+ Assist the Camp Director other duties as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform the essential duties with or without accommodation.
+ Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis.
+ Ability to grasp, push, pull objects and tools.
+ Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
