We are looking for a versatile, flexible, and good-natured housekeeper/assistant for a busy home with animals.Position Title: Housekeeper & Dog WalkerPosition Type: Part-time or Full-time + weekendsCompensation: $25-$28/hr DOEBenefits: Paid Sick and Vacation, 5 Paid Holidays, Health Insurance, snacks and drinks on site, regular lunches.Duties and ResponsibilitiesHousekeeping: Regular housekeeping duties including, but not limited to:Cleaning all bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and other living areas, laundry/ironing, organizing closets and pantry,sweep/mop stairwells, clean outdoor yards as needed, clean front entry way as needed, vacuum, emptytrash/recycle/compost, and any other duties as requested. Cleaning of areas outside of the main house including but notlimited to staff break room, kennel kitchen, trailer and other areas.Other Duties: Household and organization projects. General household errands and shoppingAnimals: Care for animals includes but is not limited to clean any areas when animals have soiled the floor, or general careand handling. Take animals to the backyard or other areas as needed. Take animals to the outdoor yards regularly. Dogwalking. Assist with vet appointments and communications.Communication: Comply with all methods of communications, including, but not limited to, lists and written instructions.Daily operations: Review any lists of tasks for staff and complete as directed.Basic RequirementsAbility to work under supervision and collaborate as a teamValid clean drivers license with the ability to drive in CaliforniaAbility to work independentlyBe proactive about animals' needs and limitations.Strong communication skills including ability to communicate orally and in writing.Ability to follow instructions and perform as instructed.Comfortable using internet applications and email daily.Reliable attendance and ability to work weekends or evenings when necessary.Overtime may be required.Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsWork is performed in a domestic setting and outdoors.Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, walking, and standing on feet 8-10 hours per day while performing job functions.Exposure to disinfectant solutions when cleaning.Exposure to various weather conditions when working outdoors.May require some driving and running general errands.Subject to animal bites and scratches while handling animals of questionable temperament.Tetanus and rabies (pre-exposure) inoculations are recommended.Consistent exposure to animals and animal allergens under conditions with limited alternatives available.Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds with reasonable accommodations.ALL INTERVIEWS AND VISITS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
