Job Summary
The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for residents, visitors, and staff at Okatie Pines Retirement Community. The Housekeeper will perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces. The Housekeeper will also be responsible for ensuring that all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, and offices
- Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Clean and disinfect surfaces, including countertops, sinks, and toilets
- Empty trash and recycling bins
- Restock supplies, including toilet paper, paper towels, and soap
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel
- Follow all safety and infection control procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in housekeeping or custodial work preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
